Introducing you... to The Newest Hygiene Student!!

I guess you could say... I am ready to rip my hair out. If you asked me what my least favorite week is in the whole year, my answer would be....FINALS week. Which is going on right. about. now. And the fact that I just want to be outside enjoying all the christmas lights, listening to christmas music, and hanging out with my man...makes it so much worse. But it is all going to be okay becuse I have a huge announcement to make on my pretty little blog.....
I GOT INTO DENTAL HYGIENE SCHOOL!!!!
I want to tell you exactly how that special moment went down in history.

I woke up on a regular Wednesday morning, grabbed the mail and casually started sorting through the pile. Just until my hands got a hold of a particular letter with the big letters UCDH (Utah College of Dental Hygiene) in the upper left-hand corner.   My.heart.stopped.   A normal human would rip that bad boy open within one second but I just couldn't help but stare. I noticed that it was far too thin and little to be some type of vicory letter. So mentally, I prepared for the worst news. I started racking my brain on how I was going to break the news to Chase. So very slowly, and sadly, I opened the letter and read at the top:

CONGRATULATIONS Ashley Richards!!! We are excited to announce that you have been accepted to the January 2013 Dental Hygiene program here at UCDH.....

I couldn't even keep reading, I immediately fell to my knees and started balling like a baby. I stayed curled up in a ball and couldnt help but cry out a prayer of thanks to my heavenly father. I felt so lucky, blessed, excited, scared and ready for this new chapter in my life. I felt like all my hard work had actually paid off! The husb and I celebrated over Martinelli and a delicious sushi dinner.
I AM SO STOKED!!
Since then, I have bought my four pair of wine colored scrubs, a lab coat with my initials embroidered above the left pocket, got my CPR license, had a physical and have gotten 11 immunizations (I know.) I have been a busy busy girl. So please excuse my absence dear friends.

Proud to be an American.

I am grateful that earlier this month, I was able to cast my vote (for the very first time) to elect the president of the United States.  I am not much of a political person. But I am grateful that I was able to vote on such an important decision. Today I am grateful for my freedom, the soldiers sacrifice to protect our country, and I am truly truly proud to be an American.
HOORAY FOR VOTING!!!

Happy Birthday Sissy!!

Happy Birthday To My Darling Little Sis, Morgan.
Yesterday was her 19th birthday. 19th! My goodness... I can't even believe how fast it's gone.

I just love this girl with all my heart. From the day she was born, she has always been a little ball of sunshine.  Morg has grown into such a beautiful young woman and is the sweetest and most outgoing girl I have ever met. Her yellow, spontaneous personality can sometimes get her into trouble.... but man oh man, we LOVE her for it. She is always a good time.
My very favorite childhood memories all include Morgan. I will never forget holding hands everywhere we went while she called me sissy. We spent our summers dressing barbies, building sand castles in our back yard, begging mom to let us get another ice cream bar and playing 'school' for hours on end. Morgan really is one of my best friends and I'm pretty dang lucky to grow old with her.

Can't wait to see where the rest of our lives will take us....
... and again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNIS. Love you.

My parents celebrated by taking this little sweet cheek out to dinner at Asian Star. Oh.my.gosh. I thought I died and went to heaven.. it was THAT good.

Halloweeeeeen 2012

I feel like I have a love/hate relationship with this blog. Its kinda sad because I love blogging but with barely any free time on my hands, it sometimes feels like a chore. I HATE IT. Aaaand I am pretty sure I can put the blame on school. I mean...class, homework and studying is SO time consuming and as of lately, that's all I do. Therefore, please excuse my absence these last couple of weeks. I promise to try my best and squeeze in a couple blog posts to catch you up to what we have been up to. UNTIL THEN...

Check out Our 'Rockin' Costumes:

Gosh Halloween this year was a freakin' blast. The best part was cranking up loud rock music, ratting my hair and trying to not laugh while doing Chase's makeup. It was a RIOT! I loved watching chase in character. At any given moment he would air guitar. haha! His Lip rings, painted nails and rockstar attitude made it pretty hard to take him serious.

Chase and I vowed that we would never go without costumes...no matter how old we get. I mean whats better than being allowed to sticking your tongue out in every picture?

Lets Carve an Owl, Shall We?

K, can I please just say that I am SO sad fall is coming to an end? Jeesh! It just keeps getting colder around here and I am not a fan. I dunno what it is, but this October has been especially fun in the fall department. I kinda felt like a little girl again because the only thing I could think about for a week straight was the day when we get to carve pumpkins. I couldn't wait! I knew EXACTLY what I was going to carve. So we picked us out a nice little pumpkin and carved ourselves an OWL. With my slight owl obsession, I thought it was fitting for the occasion. Luckily for me, I have a pro-carver as a husband so I got to draw our little owl and in no time, chase made me a proud wife.
I LOVE our finished product. Thank you husband.

Ps. Special thanks to our darling friends for the fun night! We love you.

COUNTDOWN UNTIL HALLOWEEN:
2 DAYS!! YAY!!!

Ps. Check back soon! I cannot wait to show you our costumes! Wahhhhh
