Trip To The Tip Top

Chase and I have been in over our heads this past week doing homework(hence the few blog posts). I am not going to lie, it gets super monotonous just studying every night. I have been dying to take a trip up the canyon. The second Chase suggested that we should go on a little adventure, we were out the door. We hopped in the car, turned on Bon Iver, unrolled the sunroof and drove up the windy canyon. I felt good. Soo good. Like we were little kids again with no care in the world.
The colors were vibrant red and orange. The air was the fresh scent of October.
Mmm it was absolutely perfect.

Walking With The Dead.

I have a love hate relationship with the TV show, The Walking Dead. I'm pretty sure it is the most disgusting and horrifying show,  but somehow my zombie night mares are not enough to end the misery. My family has been anxiously waiting since LAST April for this season to begin. In celebration of the premiere, we made oooey, gooey, yummy Carmel apples and had a fun little zombie party. It was okay though, because getting a nice little scare seemed pretty fitting for this time of year.

Happy Birthday To My Better Half!

Tuesday was my lovers 26th birthday. My determination to PAR-TAY almost came back to bite me in the butt. Even though we both still had work and school, I had awesome birthday plans up my sleeve. Like I said, I was ready to Par-tay. My itinerary for the birthday boy was as follows: Wake up early to make his favorite breakfast in bed (omelets), let him open his presents, take him cafe rio for lunch, go to my class in SLC then meet up after his class and drive to Draper together. Once we are in Draper, I planned to take him classic skating where I could really knock his socks off once he sees the surprise party I planned for him.
Though that was a great plan, It was not what REALLY happened that day:

The birthday boy woke up at 5 in the morning to go to the gym (why did I not expect this? I mean, I thought he would maybe sleep in just this once cause it is his birthday. But, I should of known that was not the case...goodbye to breakfast in bed). Once we returned from the gym,  I started making him an omelet because that is his favorite, but I totally spaced the fact that mixing protein powder and eggs early in the morning is not a good combo for is stomach(fail). He had oatmeal instead haha. Later that day I took him a yummy lunch and headed off to class. Once I got out of class, I whipped out my phone and saw that he had called me a bizillion times because he decided to skip out on class and drive to SLC to surprise me! Although I was so excited,  I started stressing out because how in the world was going to kill 5 hours before we could show up to Classic? After brainstorming, I came up with just the perfect idea to take him to Sports Authority and the mall. I knew I could kill lots of time helping him spend his birthday cash. Plus, the mall is a easy place to stall and I knew Chase wouldn't mind. We ended up having a complete blast just getting to spend the whole day together. Time completely FLEW by. Once seven rolled around I knew he was in for a treat! We pulled up to classic, walked in and around the corner... when all of a sudden everyone jumped out and yelled SURPSRISE!! It was perfect and Chase's reaction was priceless. I knew that I had gotten him REEEAL, real good.

We spent the rest of the night with our friends and family old school style by skating, dancing, eating, singing and getting our snowball on. We all had such a good time. I'm pretty sure I scored a couple wife points because his birthday party turned out to be a complete SUCCESS! (Cha-Ching!)
Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Chase's special day! It meant the world to both of us.  We have the BEST friends and family in the entire world. (Special thanks to my mom & dad xoxo)

Happy Birthday to the man that sometimes makes my heart want to pop right out of my chest. I love you so much. I hope your birthday was a special one. xoxo

We Rocked That Wall.

A couple weeks ago, Chase and I went on a fun, little date to The Quarry, where we finally got to ROCK CLIMB! I had been looking forward to doing this for sooo long and boy oh boy my expectations were far exceeded. Our darling friends Kam and Kylie came along and showed us the ropes. We got strapped into our harnesses, learned how to tie a knot, chalked our sweaty palms, squished our toes into the tightest shoes and climbed the hardest wall we could find.  I loved every second of it! I'm sure the Quarry will be seeing a lot more of us.

To top things off, we took Kam and Ky to our new favorite little dessert place called "Awful Waffle" mmm it is awfully delicious. We love you guys! Thanks for the fun night!

If You Need a Good Laugh.

My favorite kind of humor comes from little kids.  I really think they are downright hilarious! The best part is that they don't have any idea how funny they are really being. This video cracks me up every time I watch it. It is from last Halloween yet, chase and I STILL quote it.
Because it's THAT good.

Spiritually Fed.

Chase and I had a complete blast with our family in town(but that's to be expected). We were so excited that we couldn't stop telling each other how excited we were. haha dorks. It really is such a treat to be able to spend time with them. Lucky for us, we got to see them twice in one month!
Since Chase's birthday is right around the corner, he got SPOILED. His parents bought him new clothes, shoes, tires for his car and the new IPHONE 5. Wahh! Yesterday, Chase look down at his new phone and said in the most serious voice,
"...its just so pretty."
I have to admit... it really is. But for the record, Siri knows she will never be Chase's number one. And she also knows exactly who 'her masters' wife is. Good Siri.

Within a second that the prophet walked in, I felt his sweet spirit. Chills ran up my spine until I squeezed Chase's hand a little tighter. ah, There is just something about being able to watch conference in person that makes it that much more special. I left that place with clear understanding of the saviors love for me. He seems to always answer my questions and send me away with new personal goals. I am so grateful for the time we were able to spend with the people we love most, while listening to the ones who love us most.
xoxo
